I kept seeing the same woman everywhere.
On my TikTok. In my DMs. On my podcast. In my programs.
She was smart. She was capable. She had been through something. A marriage that ended, a career that hollowed her out, a season of life that asked everything of her and left her wondering what was left.
She had done the work. The therapy. The books. The healing.
And now she was standing in this strange in-between place. Not broken. Not lost. But not quite alive either.
Her life looked fine on paper. She knew she was meant for more. She just could not find the match.
And the loneliest part? Nobody around her understood what she was going through. Her friends were still playing by the old rules. Her family did not get it. She was surrounded by people and completely alone in the most important thing happening to her.
I heard her say it over and over in her own words:
"I'm finally ready to put myself first. I just don't know how."
"I know I'm meant for more. I just can't find the match yet."
"My life looks good on paper but something feels missing."
"I want to feel excited about my life again."
"I want more women like this in my life."
That last one stopped me.
Because that is the thing nobody was building for her.
Not a course. Not a program. Not another 12-week container with homework and a Facebook group.
A room. A real one. With real women who are living the questions she is living and finding their answers out loud, together.
That is what I built.
I'm Valerie Jones. Identity strategist. Author of The Selfish Year (Wiley). Host of The Selfish Woman Podcast. And the woman who has spent the last decade helping women choose themselves when everything in their life told them not to.
I have coached women through divorces, reinventions, career pivots, empty nests, and the particular kind of quiet crisis that happens when your life finally calms down and you realize you do not know who you are without the storm.
I know this woman. I was this woman.
And I built The Society because she deserves more than another program. She deserves a place to belong.

Why successful women need to be selfish.
"This community is a touchstone and a soft place to land. I'm met with empathy, honesty, and respect by women who genuinely want to see me grow."
— L.
"The most supportive community I've ever been part of. Every topic Val raises seems perfectly attuned to what I'm going through. I'm grateful for this tribe of amazing women."
— S.
"I love this family. I didn't expect to feel this way about a group of women I met online. But here we are."
— K.
"I finally feel understood. These women get it in a way nobody else in my life does."
— R.
You've done the work.
The therapy. The books. The healing. You are grateful for all of it. But you are starting to wonder if this is all there is, or if there is a next chapter nobody told you about.
Your life looks good on paper.
From the outside, everything is fine. You are functioning. You are capable. But inside there is a version of you that keeps whispering: there has to be more than this.
You're ready to put yourself first.
Maybe for the first time ever. But you don't have anyone in your life who actually gets what that means. The people around you love you. They just don't understand this part.
You want real friendships.
Not polite ones. Not surface ones. Women who will tell you the truth, celebrate your wins like they're their own, and show up when things get hard.
You're in a season of reinvention.
It's equal parts exciting and terrifying. You know who you were. You're not sure yet who you're becoming. And you need somewhere to figure that out out loud.
You're finally done waiting.
For your life to feel like yours. The Society was built for you.
It's a place you belong to.
When you join The Society, you'll have somewhere to bring the version of yourself nobody else in your life has met yet.
You'll stop doing life alone. Not because someone told you to find your tribe. Because you actually found one.
You'll have women in your corner who want you to win. Who get uncomfortable when you play small. Who ask "what are you waiting for?" instead of "are you sure?"
You'll look forward to something every single month that is just for you. Not for your kids. Not for your partner. Not for your job. For you.
Eight spaces. One private community on Circle. Available on desktop and mobile.
The entrance
You walk in. You look around. You feel it immediately — this is not like any online community you've been in before. The women here are real. The conversations are real. And for the first time in a long time, you feel like you belong somewhere.
Live events
This is where you show up live. At least twice a month — sometimes more. Hot seat coaching with Val. Teaching sessions that make you think differently — like Ignite Your Dreams, the one that gets you fired up about what you actually want and reconnected to a vision for it. And the Sparkle Parties, hosted by our resident Culture Expert, that you will genuinely look forward to more than almost anything else in your month.
You know that feeling when you're at a dinner party and the conversation gets so good you forget to check your phone? That's The Salon.

Say it out loud
You've been carrying something around. A dream. A want. Something you've been too afraid or too embarrassed to say out loud because the people in your life would tell you to be realistic.
Here, you say it. And the women in this room don't tell you to be careful. They ask when you're starting.
Monthly theme
Every month has a theme. Identity. Desire. Money. Reinvention. Friendship. Courage. The Edit sets the lens for that month — and suddenly everything inside The Society is pulling in the same direction.
You've never had a community that felt this intentional. This is what it feels like when someone has actually thought about what you need.
Every single day
It's 7am on a Tuesday and you're already in your head. You open The Daily Pulse. Someone just shared exactly what you're feeling. Someone else responded with the thing you needed to hear. By the time you close the app, you feel less alone.
This is where the friendships form. The ones you didn't expect. The ones that last years.
Everything, anytime
You missed a live call. It's in The Library. You want to revisit something Val said six weeks ago that's been sitting with you. It's in The Library. You want to go deeper on a topic at 11pm when the house is finally quiet. The Library is there.
Like The Unmasking Toolkit — six videos on why you're stuck, the masks that keep you there, and how to take them off and live in your actual truth. Or Ignite Your Dreams, the masterclass recording that gets you fired up about what you really want and reconnected to a vision for it.
Val's most powerful courses. Hand-selected expert programs. Every session ever recorded. All of it yours from the moment you join.

You need an introduction. A recommendation. A second opinion from someone who's actually been where you are. You ask here. And when someone else needs what you have — you give it back.
The Society is not just a place to receive. It's a place to become the kind of woman who gives generously because she finally has enough.
Coming soon
A weekly dispatch that makes your life more interesting. The book everyone in The Society is reading. The playlist for the mood you're in. The travel tip from a woman who just got back. The creative challenge that gets you out of your head.
You used to be the most interesting person in any room. The Culture Drop reminds you that you still are.
$47 a month is less than a dinner out. Less than a massage. Less than most of the things you spend money on without thinking twice.
That's not a $47 question. But $47 is the door.
When Sheryl found me, she was in the middle of one of the hardest seasons of her life. A contentious divorce. Fear she described as all-consuming. Resentment, anger, exhaustion. All of it running at full volume, every day.
She had every reason not to show up. No money to spare. No emotional bandwidth. A life that felt like it was happening to her rather than being lived by her.
She showed up anyway.
"I was emotionally drained, consumed with fear, resentment, anger, anxiety and exhaustion. I was in a state of hypervigilance. I was suffering and wanted change. I needed help. I needed guidance."
What Sheryl found wasn't a program. It was a room full of women who were living the same questions she was living. Women who made it safe enough for her to say the thing out loud. Women who held her while she found her footing.
"One of the greatest gifts I received was the gift of safety. I felt safe enough to share my deepest pain, and in turn, I got the help I so desperately needed."
Today Sheryl describes herself as excited and empowered. Not because everything got fixed. But because she stopped being alone in it.
That's what The Society is.
Not a solution. A room.
And the right room changes everything.
She has women in her life who see her. She looks forward to her life. She has stopped apologizing for wanting more.
The Society is where she has been waiting for you.

Is this a coaching program?
No. The Society is a community and a curated monthly experience. There is coaching inside it. The Monthly Gathering includes live hot-seat coaching with Val. But The Society is not a coaching program with deliverables, homework, or a curriculum you need to complete. Think of it as a room you belong to, not a course you take.
What if I'm too busy to show up every month?
Everything is recorded and lives in The Library. You never miss anything permanently. But we would also gently push back on this one. The women who get the most from The Society are the ones who decide they are worth showing up for. You don't have to be perfect. You just have to keep coming back.
What kind of women are in The Society?
Women who know there's more. Women who are reinventing themselves at 47, 57, or 67. Women who have been through something and are ready for what's next. Curious, ambitious, done with playing small. Not beginners at life. Women who have lived enough to know exactly what they want and are finally ready to go get it.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No contracts, no penalty, no guilt trip. If The Society stops being the right room for you, you can leave. We just don't think you'll want to.
Do I have to show up live?
You don't have to. But you'll want to. The live events are where the real magic happens. Everything is recorded in The Library so you'll never miss content. But the community, the connection, the moment where something shifts in a live room. That you can't rewind.
